The new Subaru Crosstrek is tipped as the successor to the XV. This model, which was launched in October 2023, now also debuts in Italy where it is only available with the 136 HP e-Boxer engine. The dimensions of the new Crosstrek are 4,495 mm long, 1,800 mm wide and 1,600 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,670 mm. The boot can hold up to 1,314 liters with the rear seats folded down (60:40 split).
The European color range includes 10 exterior colors, including 4 new shades (Sun Blaze Pearl, Oasis Blue, Offshore Blue Metallic and Sapphire Blue Pearl). The interior features an infotainment system with an 11.6-inch vertical screen. The system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Next to the screen are physical buttons to control some of the car’s functions.
Subaru Crosstrek has a gasoline engine of 136 HP and 182 Nm of torque 4-cylinder Boxer, which is combined with an electric motor of 16.7 HP and 66 Nm of torque, inserted in the gearbox. The car’s top speed is 198 km/h and it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.8 seconds. The driver has the possibility to choose three driving modes: Engine (with internal combustion engine only), EV (with electric engine only) and Assisted Vehicles (with both engines). Symmetrical AWD all-wheel drive distributes power evenly between the four wheels, with 60% distribution to the front axle and 40% to the rear axle. In addition, the car is equipped with Active Torque Vectoring to improve stability in corners.
For safety, the Subaru Crosstrek has the EyeSight Driver Assistance system, which includes various functions such as Front Collision Braking, Autonomous Emergency Driving, Centering Function, Emergency Lane Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, ‘ Mental Speed Limiter and Visual Aid Monitor.
The Subaru Crosstrek is available in three trims: Style, Extra Style and Premium. The Style Edition (37,900 euros) offers 17-inch alloy wheels as standard, dual-zone automatic climate control, the Eye system, automatic LED headlights, a DAB+ audio system with an 11.6-inch screen and 6 speakers, Apple CarPlay / Android Auto, keyless entry and start system, Subaru Rear View Vehicle Detection (SRVD) and rearview camera. The Extra Style Edition (39,400 euros) adds 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic high beams, USB ports (type A and C) for rear passengers, electrically adjustable front seats and a rearview mirror. photochromic.
