Big celebration in Charlotte for the 60th anniversary of the Ford Mustang


April 17 is not an ordinary date Ford. It was on this day in 1964 that the manufacturer unveiled at the New York World’s Fair one of the cars that became one of the symbols of the American car, Mustang.

60 years later, Ford is celebrating in Charlotte with the presentation of a limited edition “60 Years” that will be produced in just 1,965 examples, including a few hundred for Canada. It was also an opportunity to announce that it is now possible to order the most powerful Mustang of all time, the GTD 2025 with more than 800 horsepower. The Canadian price is not yet known, but in the United States, the configuration starts at $ 325,000, which also makes it the most expensive production Mustang in the world.

Following enthusiast groups like the Raptor or the Bronco, Ford is creating a new category for Mustang owners. To make things even more intense, owners will be able to travel down the park to Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina for all-terrain driving lessons and a must-see muster collection. The operation is carried out under the supervision of the Ford Performance division.
