Cadillac Optiq 2025: first photos of the interior

With Earth Day on the horizon, it’s an electric week at Auto123 as our news covers what’s happening and what’s happening in this world.

• The first pictures of the interior of the 2025 Cadillac Optiq have been shared by its producer.

Later this month, we’ll have the opportunity to take a closer look at one of Cadillac’s next electric vehicles, the Optiq SUV. The latter will also make its debut in China this month, as part of the Beijing Auto Show.

Cadillac has already revealed the exterior of the model to us, but now pictures of the interior have just been shared, giving us a first look at the cabin of this new product.

Without much surprise, we find the same signature as other models of the brand, including the Lyriq that is already on the market. A curved screen dominates the display, which is used to store driving-related information, including that of the multimedia system, opposite the center console.

There are still differences, especially at the bottom of this screen. With Optiq, we get a horizontal string that can be illuminated by the ambient light, and which corresponds to the horizontal lines, also illuminated, that we find inside the doors. The heating, ventilation and climate controls are located below this bar, just like the Lyriq. On the center console, the dial that provides access to the multimedia system is similar to that of the Lyriq, but the console is thinner for the Optiq.

The Optiq will be positioned below the Lyriq in the range. It is based on the same platform (BEV3) as the Chevrolet Equinox EV. On the website of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), we can see that the Optiq has the same wheelbase (116.3 inches) as the Equinox EV. For the rest, the Optiq that should be sold in China is 189.8 inches long, 75.3 inches wide and 64.6 inches tall; Compared to the Equinox EV, the roof is an inch higher, while in other dimensions it is an inch less.

Also, the Optiq is about 7.0 inches shorter than the Lyriq, while it’s 2.5 inches thinner. Its roof, however, is about an inch higher.

There should not be too many differences with the model that will be stored for us, especially regarding the measurements.

In China, two versions will be offered, each with a single engine, resulting in a two-wheel drive configuration. One of the variants develops 201 horsepower, the other 241. In North America, it is expected that the all-wheel drive version will be released. It can provide the power of the Chevrolet Blazer EV, that is, 288 horsepower and 333 pound-feet of torque.

The model will be launched in China on April 25. Next week we will also have seen it in person.
