Customers in Brazil registered almost twice as many Peugeot cars in the first four months of this year compared to the same period in 2021. As a result, the brand moved up one place and now ranks eleventh among the most popular brands in the country .

From January to April together, 12,216 new Peugeot cars hit Brazilian roads. This is 96% more than last year in the same period. No other brand in this market has even come close to such growth trends. Ba – most of them are recording a decline, as the entire market decreased by 22.8% during this period. The two biggest sales drops were recorded by the brands Volkswagen (-58.5%) and Ford (-72.6%).

The brand currently has a 2.4% share of the Brazilian new car market. Will he be able to break into the top ten? This is unlikely to happen – the Chery brand, which occupies this position, is also recording growth. But if the downward trend, for example, Nissan continues, who knows if in a few months … 😉

The new Peugeot 208 continues its strong commercial performance in the first four months of 2022. The model saw the biggest increase in sales compared to the same period in 2021. With 7,922 units sold, this smart hatchback achieved a 155% increase compared to last year’s results in the same period!

In April alone, Peugeot recorded a 47% increase in sales compared to last April, while the overall market this month decreased by 16.8%. At that time, the Peugeot 308 was in the Top 3 sales of segment B hatchbacks with engines above 1.0 liters.

In addition to the strong commercial performance, Peugeot also played another important role in April. From April 25-29, Peugeot was present with its full portfolio at the largest exhibition of agricultural technology in South America. The 27th edition of AGRISHOW, which took place in Ribeirão Preto (SP), was visited by a total of 193,000 people and generated net sales of over 11 billion.

At the brand’s stand, the public can view all Peugeot models in person. Passenger models on display included the 2008 hatchback and 2008 and 3008 SUVs. In the light commercial vehicle segment: Expert Panel Van, Expert Minibus and Boxer Panel Van. In space Move by Lightning showcased 100% of the electric vehicles already sold by the brand in Brazil, including the sports version of the e-208 GT and the Expert electric utility vehicle.
