Pitt County Sheriff’s Office looking for suspects after sweepstakes employee beaten & shot

The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office is spearheading a manhunt for potential suspects following a violent assault on a sweepstakes parlor employee.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the incident transpired at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening when an individual, or individuals, entered the sweepstakes parlor and physically accosted the employee. The assailant then discharged a firearm in the direction of the victim, inflicting a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Subsequently, the perpetrator fled the scene of the crime.

Law enforcement is currently seeking leads on the identity of the attacker. Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in providing any available information that could help in apprehending the suspect.

The Sheriff’s Office has not yet released any details regarding a possible motive for the assault, nor have they released any additional information about the assailant.
