The 30th stop on the NASCAR calendar is the first of three playoff races in the ‘Round of 12’. After the first three races of the ‘Round of 16’, Kyle Busch, Austin Dillon, Chase Briscoe and Kevin Harvick are all eliminated from contention for the 2022 championship. After the next three races, the four drivers with the fewest points will be eliminated from the playoffs. Sunday’s race is the start of ‘Round 12’.

Texas Motor Speedway is home to four playoff races. A 1.5 mile long quad loop awaits drivers and is therefore a typical intermediate course. The racetrack opened north of Fort Worth in 1997. The first cup race was held in April of that year. Significant modern work was done for the 2017 season. Since the 2006 season, the speedway has held two events a year. Since last year, only the qualifying race will be held next Sunday. However, by 2021, Fort Worth will be the venue for the All-Star Invitational race in May.

The distance is 334 laps, divided into three stages over 105, 105 and finally 124 laps. Turns one and two are banked 20 degrees and turns three and four are banked 24 degrees.

Starting list with driver changes for the 30th race of the season at Fort Worth
