Grimma. On Sunday morning there was a serious traffic accident on the road “Am Rinderkombinat”.

The large Hyundai driver was traveling from Beiersdorf towards Grimma around 11 am when, for reasons still unknown, he left the road, rolled and came to rest on his left side in a rape field.

First responders tended to the man until emergency services, police and volunteer fire departments from Hohnstädt and Grimma arrived on site. A paramedic was flown to the scene with the Christoph 61 rescue helicopter.

As the fire department announced on the website, the person who was located had already been released from the vehicle when the emergency services arrived. He was treated by emergency services and taken to hospital.

Fire brigade personnel secured the scene of the accident and the vehicle and ensured fire protection. The police are now investigating the exact cause of the accident. The car had to be towed. The road was completely closed during the operation.
