Erkelenz-Lövenich – stolen power cable
On the night of May 25, 2023 to May 26, 2023, unknown thieves stole about 100 meters of high-voltage cables from Schweizerstraße to supply the festival tent there. The power supply of the food truck that was installed was also stolen.
Hückelhoven-Ratheim – a construction tool broken open
Between May 25, 2023, 3:40 pm and May 26, 2023, 6:30 am, unknown criminals broke the lock of a construction site container on Schibsler Weg. A large number of construction machines were stolen from the container. The crime police found traces of the crime.
Wassenberg-Effeld – Mitsubishi has been stolen

Erkelenz-Golkrath – On the road without a driver’s license
During a traffic check on two wheels, a police patrol on May 26, 2023 around 2:10 pm on the road “Am Kloster” found that the 64-year-old driver from Hückelhoven did not have the required driver’s license. Two-wheelers of the Peugeot brand were also not insured. Criminal proceedings have been initiated.
Wegberg-Wildenrath – left the road under the influence of alcohol
At around 2:10 am on May 27, 2023, police officers were called to a traffic accident near the intersection of Rosenthaler Strasse/Dalheimer Strasse. There, a car driver with his Mazda from Wildenrath turned left onto Rosenthaler Straße and then left the road to the right. The car hit a traffic sign and a tree and was badly damaged. The 39-year-old driver from Wegberg was not injured. However, due to the consumption of the alcohol, the police ordered a blood test and obtained a driver’s license.
