500,000 dollars in expenses after a serious accident (video)

The Lexus LFA is no ordinary supercar. So when it has to be repaired, it’s expensive, as this damaged example shows!

There aren’t many Lexus LFAs in the world. Only 500 examples were built over the entire production life of the car. And while you may think there is one less LFA when you see this photo, know that miracles do exist.

Indeed, this damaged model is currently being repaired. The owner of this LFA obviously played a lot with the accelerator in January.

This happened after a car accident in Georgia. In fact, we brought you this story a few weeks ago already. But the car has since been investigated.

Video posted on social networks shows the car being loaded onto a flatbed after the event. In the video below, they are the managers of the station ThatDudeInBlue, which maintains the car.

LFA accident

The owner of this LFA explains how he got there. He just aquaplaned on a wet road and ended up running over a fire hydrant. Taking a closer look, we understand that the damage suffered by the Japanese supercar is very significant.
Starting with the passenger side door which now has a hole in the middle. But that’s not all. The front end of this Lexus seems to have hit. Not to mention the back which is completely destroyed.
In fact, the severity of this LFA has not been recognized since then The entire rear fascia was dismantled, as well as the carbon fiber bodywork.
The rear fenders are cracked. Even the famous triple exhaust doesn’t seem to be in good condition. Already because it is full of mud, but also because it is crooked. In short, there is not much to restore outside.
Maybe a roof, but nothing more. Otherwise, every body part of this LFA seems to be partially damaged during this accident.

Is the engine and passenger compartment OK?

Surprisingly, the engine belt seems to be fine. That’s good since a 4.8-liter V10 is at the heart of this Japanese supercar. In addition, the interior is not done.
And for good reason, the airbags didn’t even cause it. However, the crash did not spare the exterior of this LFA… It’s enough to make every Lexus lover sad.
According to what the owner says in this video, repairs would cost some $500,000. Or even more depending on what is discovered during the break.

All that can assure us is that experts are willing to spend a whole year building such a car, just to make sure that this legend remains alive.
