On Tuesday evening, April 16, 2024, two children aged five and ten were seriously injured and a 39-year-old man was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Burgstrasse (Kreisstrasse 341) in the Schloß-Ricklingen district. Garbsen.

According to preliminary results from the traffic accident service, the 39-year-old Lamborghini driver was driving along Burgstrasse from Garbsen towards Schloß-Ricklingen at around 7:25 pm For reasons that are still unclear, he initially swerved to the left to the long right corner. Then the car was thrown to the right and hit two trees on the right side of the road. The Lamborghini was thrown a few meters further, where it came to rest on its side and caught fire.

The three occupants, a 39-year-old man and two children aged five and ten, were released from the vehicle. The two children suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision. The 39-year-old man was seriously injured in the accident. A five-year-old child was taken to hospital by rescue helicopter. Two other people were also transported to hospital after initial treatment by emergency medical and rescue services.

Burgstrasse is completely closed due to ongoing accident recording and rescue measures.
