Finally! Polestar will arrive in France in 2025

With the legal dispute with Citroën resolved, we awaited the Polestar’s arrival in France. The Chinese and Swedish brand took its time and will finally arrive in our regions next year.

Released in 2017, the Polestar brand made its debut in Europe in 2020. The launch was hindered by the pandemic, but also by the restriction of its sales in France. Citroën considered that the North Star symbolized by two opposing chevrons was too close to its own logo. The issue was finally resolved in the late summer of 2022, without knowing the full details of the negotiations.

Since then, radio silence about the introduction of the brand in our country despite the launch of new models. According to our colleagues at ChallengePolestar will be officially distributed in France in 2025.

Why such a delay? The manufacturer says the desire to immediately offer a complete range to French consumers. What an honor! The Geely brand is not much considered by our neighbors in Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Italy or Spain. The excuse may lie elsewhere and this delay may be part of the agreement reached with Stellantis in 2022: OK to sell in France, but after the launch of the electric 3008…

With its arrival in 2025, the Polestar range will include 2 sedans, 3 large SUVs and 4 crossovers. In addition, in addition to these already known models, the new Polestar 5 sedan will also arrive with the 02 concept to be presented in 2026.
