Chrysler parent company Stellantis announced Friday that it will cut about 400 jobs in the United States to cut costs, increase efficiency and increase production of electric vehicles.
The Italian-American automaker said it will cut about 400 engineering/technology and software jobs starting March 31, representing 2% of global jobs. Last year, Stellantis twice offered to buy out groups of American workers, including 6,400 American workers who received financial incentives to leave the company in November.
