Polestar: The Hottest Car Showroom | invidis

After the beautiful spring days, Germany experienced a drop in temperature again, and in some places it snowed again. A great opportunity to remember a special project from last winter: the Polestar brand, which focuses on Scandinavian minimalism in its showrooms, opened the first Polestar Snow Space in the Arctic Circle. In Rovaniemi, Finland, a temporary showroom was created out of snow.

The temporary showroom has been designed to the same standards as the regular Polestar. Open edges, large areas, little color and almost no digital. It is this simplicity that allowed the design-conscious brand to build the Polestar Space from a material that is abundant in Lapland’s capital: snow.

Absolutely durable, as befits an EV manufacturer: the snow is not only clean, sustainable and round, but also an important part of the Polestar color range. Construction materials for the temporary Polestar Space were sourced from the local area and brought to the construction site in fully electric trucks. After the temporary car dealership in the Arctic Circle closed, the snow was completely returned to its natural cycle.

A standard Polestar Space presentation of select Polestar items was also available in the Snow Space. Not just like originals made of metal or plastic, but like artistic copies made of pure ice.

In the Finnish city on the Arctic Circle there is also a race track that is used for testing drives in the snow in winter. Convenient for visitors to the Polestar Snow Space, they were able to test electric cars on a closed road.
