The Polestar 4 shows its prices and is eligible for subsidies

The 2025 Polestar 4, the all-new coupe-style electric crossover that’s causing a lot of buzz due to its lack of a rear window, made its North American debut today at the New York Auto Show, along with Polestar 3 2024.

Our colleague Louis-Philippe Dube was able to share with you his driving sensations following a Polestar 4 exclusive review which took place recently at the Hällered test station near Gothenburg, Sweden. Now we can tell you how much it costs.

As promised, the price puts this model in between Polestar 2 and Polestar 3. Range starts at $64,900 (plus $2,700/PDI freight) for the single-engine, rear-wheel-drive variant, meaning customers will be eligible for a subsidy from Roulez’s Quebec program of up to $7,000 – at least for now – but not with the $5,000 government rebate, since the base MSRP exceeds $60,000.

Standard equipment includes a panoramic roof, 360-degree camera, heat pump, electronic door locks, 15.4-inch touchscreen, power tailgate, digital key, wireless phone charger and seat of 8-way power adjustable driver. Since there is no rear window, the rearview mirror displays a high-definition image from a roof-mounted camera.

Adding the Pilot and Pro packages brings the price to $66,800 and $67,400, respectively. The first includes automatic driving technology and lane change assist, while the second also replaces 20-inch wheels with unique 21-inch rims, among others.

There is also a Plus package that includes a head-up display, 12-way power seats with extendable thigh pads, MicroTech upholstery, three-zone climate control, a control and entertainment screen and heated rear seats, Harman Kardon sound system plus 11 kW charger on board – all for $71,900.

As for the Polestar 4 with two engines and all-wheel drive, you should pay a minimum of $74,900. This includes the Trial package as standard. Expect $77,400 with the Pro package or $81,700 with the Plus package.

The latter option includes a Performance package that bumps the bill up to $87,500. Here, the wheels increase to 22 inches, wrapped in performance summer tires and limited by Brembo brakes with gold-finish calipers and Polestar engineering rotors. The chassis takes special settings and the seat belts are golden in color.

All Polestar 4s have a large 102 kWh battery and, fortunately, are capable of delivering up to 200 kW from a DC fast charger. Those with rear-wheel drive produce 272 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. Their range is estimated at 483 km. Adding the second motor increases power to 544 horsepower and torque to 506 lb-ft, enough to hit 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, but the range drops to around 435 km.

The 2025 Polestar 4 can be ordered from the end of April and deliveries from China will start in the summer, if all goes as planned (note that the launch of the Polestar 3 was delayed due to software issues). Starting in 2025, North American models will be manufactured in South Korea.
