Woman Gives Police Dodge Charger, Arrested

You probably know the Porsche 918 or 911 Targas that wear a police uniform from the past. This is allowed by law, because the police no longer use color schemes. You are not allowed to adopt the colors that the police currently use. Also in America it is not allowed to put a police livery on your own Dodge Charger. Not even if you are ‘in love’ with the livery.

The Florida Highway Patrol came across a copy of their Dodge Charger. After parking the car, the owner tells his story. He declares that he ‘loves’ the color scheme. That writes FOX 35 Orlando.

Police colors were also said to be already on the car when it won the auction. The Charger even has a cowl bar, stickers and a light strap on the roof. In the replica, the additional lights emit white and blue light instead of red and blue as in American police cars.

The local police explain that this is not allowed. The woman is taken to the station for driving an unlicensed vehicle, impersonating a highway police officer and misusing a vendor’s license plate number. The woman was later released. It is not known what happened to the Dodge Charger and its police livery.
