Police respond to assault with knife at Brockton school

Police were summoned to a Brockton school on Tuesday in response to a reported assault involving a knife.

The incident occurred at the school located in the city’s south side at around 11:30 a.m. According to a statement from the Brockton Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene to investigate a reported altercation between two individuals.

Upon arrival, police officers encountered a suspect reportedly armed with a knife. The suspect was apprehended without incident and taken into custody. No injuries were reported as a result of the assault.

The suspect, who was not identified due to their age, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The victim’s identity was also not released.
