Porsche and Vitra for Milan Design Week 2024


One of the flagship events in Milan showed various collaborations between companies: for Milan Design Week Porsche and Vitrafor example, it collaborated to create a collection Porsche Pepita Edition. In particular, Vitra, a designer furniture company, has been created limited edition seats for a German car manufacturer.

Fantasy Art”, an event promoted by Porsche since 2021, is a project involving the creation of interactive art installations hosted in many cities around the world.

This year at the event, included in the Milan Design Week 2024 and organized at Clerici Palace from 16 to 21 April 2024, an interactive sculpture inspired by the fabric of Pepita “Lines of Flight” created by a group of artists was presented. Number/For Use which is described in the press release issued by Porsche as «big light structurecomposed of elegant cells and monochromatic networks, which invite the viewer to enter and explore the suspended landscape.».

The drawing also inspired one dance show performed on April 16, 2024, created by choreographers Imre e Marne van Opstal.

“Dream Art” also featured a public presentation of three seats limited editions covered in Porsche’s special “Pepita” fabric. In particular, the Porsche Pepita Edition collection includes the “Eames Side Chair Pepita Edition”, the “ID Trim L” and the “Petit Repos Pepita Edition”.

About the collaboration between the two brands Robert AderPorsche’s marketing director, said:

We recall, among other car companies that participated in the Milan Design Week 2024, also Citroën which, in cooperation and Rubik’s, presented users with a car model that recalls the iconic cube design Rubik.
