The Rezvani RR1 is a modern Porsche 911 in the guise of the 935

You know American Rezvani for horror creations like Tank, Revenge and Hercules 6×6. And this RR1 Rezvani shows the nostalgic side. The company’s retro department was commissioned to provide the Porsche 911 (generation 992) with a new body. This new look was inspired by the racing cars of the 1970s.

The Rezvani RR1 takes inspiration from the Porsche 935 racer, which was named Moby Dick because of its long tail. The 935/78 was built in 1978 and won the 24 Hours of Le Mans a year later. The slantnose front bumper can be clearly seen from it. What is special is that the headlights of the 911 have been replaced with those similar to those of the electric Taycan. That has nothing to do with the ’70s.

The lower nose flows gracefully into the integrated rear wing. The additional rear wheel arches are equipped with large air scoops and are further extended towards the rear, so that the rear lights are closed. And what do you think about the 20-inch hubcaps on the front wheels and some 21-inch rims on the rear wheels?

Different dimensions of Rezvani RR1

The idea of this RR1 is that you come to Rezvani with your current generation Porsche 911 and the company replaces the car, tightens other things down and gives you a 911 back. However, they don’t build all versions, just the Carrera S, GT3 and Turbo S.

The 911 Carrera S, or RR1 550 as Rezvani calls it after the renovation, keeps its 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, but the power is increased from 450 to 520 hp. In racing trim, power rises to 550 hp, hence the name RR1 550. The 0-100 time is 3.1 seconds and the power still goes to the rear wheels via a seven-speed PDK automatic transmission or a six-manual gearbox . .

The 911 GT3 gains 55 hp for a total of 565 hp. The limiter has been moved to 9,200 rpm and the 0-100 time is exactly three seconds. Here you can also choose a manual or automatic gearbox and again the power goes to the rear wheels.

For the strongest RR1 you should take the 911 Turbo S. The 3.8-liter turbo boxer engine goes from 650 to 750 hp and now reaches 100 km / h in just two seconds. With this car you always have to work with the PDK automatic transmission and the 0-100 time is two seconds instead of 2.7 seconds in the regular Turbo S.

Price of Rezvani RR1

In addition to adding power, there are options to make your 911 even more special. Consider a steel cage, Öhlins calipers, upgraded Brembo brakes or a custom paint scheme (but stick to these Martini-like colors). All for an additional fee, of course. The first five RR1 customers will pay a price of $149,000. So without a car. After these five units are sold, the price goes up. We don’t know how long the price will go up.
