Sunday May 28 in Montecarlo on the first date of the 2023 Porsche Supercup, the professional international championship, the Tuscan driver of almost 24 years and big ambitions, Riccardo Pera, will do first, followed by the agent of the Identity Event in Milan and compete for Ombra racing team in Bergamo. The native of Marlia, a small part of Capannori, in the province of Lucca, is the only Italian athlete in the world championship competition in which about thirty drivers participate and which takes place in collaboration with some Formula 1 Doctors.
The first race was scheduled for Imola, but was canceled due to flooding, so the first race at the Principality track was postponed.
“Dreams are built with sacrifice and work. Talent is not enough. – explains the Tuscan driver – It will be good to fight for the world title already in the first year. In the official tests of Imola and Silverstone it was the first time I drove the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, I was and a better feeling, there was a faster feeling with the car. But let’s take it one step at a time”.
After a past in go-karts, in 2016 he made his debut in the Porsche Cayman GT4 championship, where he immediately won the Italian title. Driving professionally in GT competitions, that is, machines with covered wheels called ‘granturismo’, Riccardo Pera is preparing to do a great level of excellence.
