Croatian hat trick for Armin Kremer / WRC

The fast and demanding asphalt routes around Zagreb seem to suit Armin and Ella Kremer in particular. For the third time in a row, the father and daughter duo won the Masters Cup qualification in Croatia.

Rally Croatia lived up to its reputation again this year. Constantly changing grip conditions, sometimes narrow and sometimes wide, with many peaks that require a lot of heart. All things that Armin and Ella Kremer seem to be able to withstand very well, because once again they are the measure of everything in the WRC Masters Cup. After an impressive and faultless drive, the Mecklenburgers in the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 were able to put the competition in their place and win by more than eleven minutes.

“Without a doubt this is a good start to the season,” says Armin Kremer, enjoying the victory. “We want to win the title this year and this was the first small step towards our big goal.”

From the start, the changeable weather made things worse, but Armin Kremer was able to benefit from his years of experience and managed the pace wisely. “We didn’t have any aha moments and we never pushed ourselves to the limit, but instead we drove at a controlled speed. That means we can increase if needed,” explained the 55-year-old, who was one of the nine fastest drivers in WRC2 this weekend despite the short preparation time and also gave an open surprise here.

“You can quickly sum it up: it was a great weekend,” co-driver Ella Kremer said. “The entire BRR operation team did a great job and the car performed perfectly. We are already looking forward to Rally Sardinia.”

Although Sardinia is primarily associated with sun, beaches and holidays, the World Cup race there (May 30 to June 2) is considered one of the most desirable races of all. Discreet driving style is again required on material-killing gravel tracks. “Our first win of the season gives us a positive attitude,” said Armin Kremer. “Now it is important to continue this trend in Sardinia.” (Kremer)
