Stellantis is the Portuguese market leader in the first quarter of 2024 | French.pl


Stellantis finished the first quarter of 2024 as the leader in the Portuguese market with a total of 19,678 registered vehicles of Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati, Opel and Peugeotwhich together represent a significant market share of 29.5%.

As of January 1, Peugeot is the leading brand in the entire market (passenger cars, light commercial vehicles and both). The group also placed Citroën on the podium in the domestic market (3rd place), followed by Opel (9th place) and Fiat (11th place) among the brands with the highest sales in Portugal.

In the first three months of the year, Stellantis also took first place in the list in the passenger car market with 16,045 units and a share of 27.2%.

In the commercial vehicle segment, Stellantis also maintains an undisputed leadership position in Portugal, selling 3,633 commercial vehicles during this period, representing a 47.9% share of this market.

Next month, the entire range of Stellantis professional vehicles will be updated with the arrival of the most advanced commercial vehicles ever to enter the market.

When it comes to electrification, Stellantis has created a range of vehicles that stand out for their high performance and level of comfort and interior space similar to the combustion versions. Thanks to this, the Group is the leader in the Portuguese market of low-emission vehicles (BEV + PHEV) with 3,089 vehicles sold in the first quarter, which represents a market share of 18.0%.

This leadership position is more visible in the 100% version of electric light commercial vehicles, where the Group obtained a share of 34.6% corresponding to the delivery of 222 battery-electric commercial vehicles.

Among the new mobility offers, the main attraction is the fully electric Citroën Ami quadricycle, which found 147 buyers in the first three months of the year, representing 37.6% of the Portuguese quadricycle market.

This continuous delivery of positive sales results contributes to the achievement of the goals set in the strategic plan “Dare Forward 2030” Stellantis, a group that aims to be the undisputed leader in electricity distribution in Portugal and worldwide.
