New in the 2024 Superbike World Championship: BMW under power from OUTDO / Superbike World Championship

A few days after Toprak Razgatlioglu’s victory at the Superbike rally in Barcelona, BMW Motorrad Motorsport confirmed a new technical partnership with OUTDO Battery.

Keen observers noticed a slight visual change for the BMW M1000RR in the second event of the 2024 Superbike World Championship. A sticker from battery manufacturer OUTDO revealed a new technical collaboration. The contract with the Chinese includes both teams, the British team ROKiT and also the German team from Bonovo action.

“We are very happy to welcome OUTDO to our BMW Motorrad Motorsport family,” said BMW Motorrad Motorsport Director Marc Bongers. “It’s great to have a technical partner like OUTDO on our side. As a world-renowned battery manufacturer, OUTDO has extensive experience and offers the best technology in the field of rechargeable batteries. A strong partnership with OUTDO is an important win for our entire superbike project and helps us take the next step.

OUTDO belongs to the Chinese technology group Huawei and was founded in 1997. Production takes place in two locations in Thailand and China. Commitment to the Superbike paddock is not new. We were already technical partners with the Kawasaki Pedercini team and the Yamaha Giansanti Racing youth team.

But BMW and OUTDO are a perfect match, says CEO Zhimin Ke. «OUTDO has always placed an emphasis on continuous technological research and development as well as product innovation capabilities. OUTDO will provide BMW Motorrad Motorsport with first-class products and leading technical support, and through a strong partnership will bring a new accent to WorldSBK.
