Austrian Top Thomas Thomas Preining wrote a short piece of car history history on Saturday. The 23-year-old Porsche career driver earned his first DTM victory in the chaotic race at Norisring in Nuremberg. It was also the first victory in the Porsche manufacturer’s ranks. Only 11 drivers were identified, among those who dropped out of school were Lucas Auer from Tyrol and DTM leader Sheldon van der Linde.

“History of Motorsport and Porsche. I am very proud,” Preining said in the cockpit. A man from Linz is driving the KÜS Bernhard Team in his first year at DTM. Preining started the race from second place to the grid, in which there were three phases of a security vehicle. Norwegian colleague Dennis Olsen finished second. Philipp Eng took fifth place, Clemens Schmid took fifth place.

Auer left without charge, having previously suffered from health problems. After graduation, Tyrolean developed a problem with the sacroiliac ligament in his pelvis, which extended to his neck. The neck muscles are “tightened” causing pain. After treatment, Auer was fit enough for the race.
