Full details (Premier League – day 33)

Man of the match – Watkins (8): Ollie Watkins was one of the key figures in Aston Villa’s impressive win over Arsenal. Having been let off the hook, the English striker still managed to do well. After hitting the post in the first half, he scored the lead at the end of the match with a powerful shot. With this success, the English international player brings his total Premier League goals to 19 behind Erling Haaland with his 20 goals.

Arsenal (4-3-3)

Raya (4) : Being saved twice by his pole and goal, David Raya ended up losing the end of the match. The Spanish goalkeeper went to the skin twice in his own net.

White (5): Benjamin White has shown no composure in recent weeks. For his part, the former Brighton player was unable to prevent his team’s defeat.

Gabriel (4): A difficult restart, a questionable intervention, the Brazilian defender did not show composure. Besides, it is not surprising that Arsenal lost.

Cross (4): Just like Gabriel, the Tricolore international defender was also restless. A tough match for the normally calm one.

Zinchenko (5.5) : Zinchenko is gradually finding his place. Introduced this Sunday, the Ukrainian full-back was nonetheless rocked, even if he contributed a lot offensively, as well as defensively.

Odegaard (5) : The Norwegian midfielder has been the Gunners’ best player in recent weeks. Against Aston Villa, he once again showed all his qualities even if he failed to make decisions, as in the last two matches of The Gunners.

Rice (4,5) : Strong in midfield, the former West Ham man has yet to secure his defence, which has been sorely needed.

Havertz (5) : Backed in the middle of the pitch by his coach, the German player did not shine, even if he missed a direct goal in the first half of the game.

From (5): Undeterred, the England right-back was indecisive this Sunday against the Villans.

Jesus (4): The author of a good comeback against Bayern Munich in the Champions League last Tuesday, the Brazilian striker did not prove this Sunday against Aston Villa. Another failed match for the former Manchester City player.

Trossard (4) : Goal scorer last Tuesday against Bayern Munich, the Belgian striker went through this Sunday’s match against Aston Villa.

Aston Villa (4-2-3-1)

Martinez (7) : Argentina’s World Champion, regal as he often is in the cage, once again produced a superb performance. He made two big saves in the first half of the game.

Worthy (6): A lot of activity in the left lane on the side of the Tricolore, who never or almost never leaves his different number. He was decisive at the end of the match by opening the scoring.

Torres (7) : Defensively, the Spaniard replied. A clean launch and an excellent interception, the former Villarreal player was exceptional.

Carlos (7) : A great game also from the Brazilian defender, who also had a successful game.

Edit (6): Positioned on the right side of the defence, the England international kept himself in line with his centre-backs.

Zaniolo (5.5): An impressive match from the Italian midfielder, who was not, however, very dangerous on the balls he had to touch.

Tielemans (7) : The Belgian midfielder had a fantastic evening. Started on Sunday, as against Lille on Thursday in the Europa League, the Belgian scored the second goal of the match.

McGinn (7): The Scottish midfielder did the dirty work in front of his defence. Always his presence and proper intervention.

Rogers (6) : A solid performance from the English player in the middle order. Author of the big foul against Bukayo Saka at the beginning of the match, he slowed down as the match continued.

Watkins (8) : (See above)

Diaby (5): The former Bayer Leverkusen player did not shine this afternoon against Arsenal. He was not able to negotiate well the few balls he had to contest.

Bailey (7,5) : The Jamaican striker made a successful comeback. It was he who broke the deadlock at the end of the game, taking the ball from Lucas Digne.
