Dakar 2025 officially starts with the introduction on January 3, but before then, the participants must complete various dates to get the final right to start. What happens until the start of the rally.
Hundreds of cars were shipped from Barcelona to Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Dakar Rally. Around 800 cars, service trucks, trailers, buses, mobile homes and containers were loaded. Before the Grimaldi Group shippers set sail on December 4 and 5, a first administrative and technical inspection was carried out.
The final inspection will take place at the starting camp in Bisha on January 1 and 2. Cars found to be defective can be submitted for the last time on Thursday. The list of eligible participants will be published in the evening around 7:30 pm on New Year’s Day, participants will receive general instructions and information about the introduction on Friday, January 3.
Before the official start of Dakar 2025, the main players will have the opportunity to warm up. The area designated by the organizer ASO will be available for testing as early as December 31. Competitors are bound to use this area only. Safety equipment must be installed on the motorcycle before participating in the test. A road book will be issued and must be followed.
