The Subaru Forester enters the next round. The new version of the SUV celebrated its debut in the American version at the Los Angeles Auto Show. A slightly modified variant may have come to Europe some time later.

Visually, the all-wheel drive vehicle will look a little more angular and large in the future, while retaining a practical style with a lower belt line and large windows that provide a good view of obstacles. At the front there is now a large radiator grille with integrated lights, at the back there is a stylish, continuous strip of lights. In the cockpit, a large screen dominates the center console, on which smartphone content can also be mirrored.

Less diverse for Europe

When it comes to driving, the Japanese rely on the brand’s usual combination of all-wheel drive technology and a boxer engine. The American variant has a version with a displacement of 2.5 liters and 135 kW/183 hp, which is connected to a continuously variable transmission. In Europe, the 2.0 liter engine with mild hybrid technology already used in the current model will be used instead.

The American model is scheduled to go on sale next spring. Subaru traditionally takes a long time before the market launch in Europe, so it probably won’t happen until 2025. Prices so far start at less than 38,000 euros.
