Ralph Nardell, celebrated resident of West Wyoming, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 25th, 2023 at the age of 81.
Ralph devoted his life to the betterment of his beloved hometown, leaving behind a legacy of service that will be remembered for years to come. A graduate of Wilkes University, Mr. Nardell was actively involved in local government for many years, serving on the West Wyoming Borough Council for two consecutive terms, from 1985-1989 and again from 1991-1995. He was instrumental in spearheading the effort to construct a new community pool and oversaw the redevelopment of the borough’s downtown area.
Not content to simply sit on the sidelines, Ralph was an enthusiastic member of many civic organizations, including the Lions Club and the Chamber of Commerce. He was also a longtime supporter of the West Wyoming Little League and a frequent volunteer at local soup kitchens.
In addition to his civic involvement, Ralph was an avid outdoorsman and a passionate conservationist, serving on the board of the local Audubon Society. He was also a dedicated fisherman, proudly displaying the many trophies he won at various fishing tournaments.
Ralph will be dearly missed by his loving family, which includes his wife of 58 years, Mary; his four children, Robert, Susan, Amy, and Michael; his eight grandchildren; and his two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on April 2nd at the West Wyoming United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ralph’s honor to the West Wyoming Little League or the Audubon Society of Pennsylvania.
