KIA Thematic Day E-depot registration is now possible

For ten days, the KIA community will exchange knowledge and experience on topics related to electronic warehouses. Such as, storing suppliers, dealing with metadata, merging data and automatically transferring logs. KIA, together with members and partners, offers an interesting program with live and online meetings, webinars, podcasts and more.

25 Years of National e-Depot Archives

Chief State Archivist Afelonne Doek will give a ceremonial welcome at the National Archives in The Hague. Participants will then dive deeper into the content with expert speakers. They look back at 25 years of e-depo and discuss future developments.

The plan

Various practical experiences from municipalities, for example, are discussed. But also technical topics, such as file formats and storage, digital preservation and making archives accessible. Participants also learn how, as an archivist, to leave room for the emotional value of archival documents. New to the field? Gain knowledge during the “Meet and learn” part of the program.

On location and online

The 10-day event can be attended on-site and online. There are activities in the National Park, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, the Archives of the City of Amsterdam and the KB National Library.
