Hyundai Motor and Kia have launched their new autonomous delivery robot, DAL-e Delivery, designed to revolutionize local delivery services in difficult environments such as offices and supermarkets. With a top speed of 1.2 m/s, a carrying capacity of up to 10 kg and advanced facial recognition technology, DAL-e Delivery is ready to provide efficient and reliable delivery services.
The DAL-e delivery can transport up to 16 cups of coffee or products weighing up to 10 kg, making it a practical solution for food and package delivery in difficult environments such as shopping centers and offices. Its maximum speed of 1.2 m / s allows it to easily navigate narrow and crowded spaces.
The robot has 4 electric motors, 4 small wheels and autonomous driving technology to move independently and avoid obstacles. It can also interact with elevators and access control systems to move between floors and different areas of the building.
Facial recognition approved by the Korea Cybersecurity and Security Agency allows robots to deliver packages safely and reliably. When the robot reaches its destination, it recognizes the recipient through its camera and automatically opens the door to deliver the package.
The DAL-e presentation will be deployed for the first time at Factorial Seongsu, a smart building located in Seoul, South Korea, in the second quarter of this year. With its ability to freely navigate buildings and create efficient routes in real time, DAL-e Delivery is poised to revolutionize food and package delivery services in complex environments.
