Volkswagen has recently been registered with the DPMA, a well-known German patent and trademark office. There is no doubt that the German brand is thinking about introducing it to the market new product: not necessarily new models, it can also be new colors, or new online assistants, and so on.

New SUV coming soon?

One feature unites all these new names registered by Volkswagen: the letter T in the beginning. Any clue as to what they might be referring to? Not necessarily, let’s be clear, but we know that the letter T today is what identifies an SUV car of the German brand, so it is reasonable to think that all these names (or at least some of them) are intended for new crossovers that will be part of the lineup of the Wolfsburg giant.

Not necessarily cars

In particular, the German magazine AutoZeitung reports, the names that are most likely to label the new Volkswagen SUV will be. Taroko, Tempus and Tukan, although at present nothing has been confirmed to this effect. It cannot even be ruled out that the names registered with the German brand can only be handled certain markets: the previous model of the Jetta, a sub-brand of Volkswagen that was patented for use only in the United States, is clear in this sense.
