Lexus UX 300h and 300e: engine, horsepower, freedom, interior, fittings

The Lexus offers an updated variant of UX dedicated to the European market, with slightly different specifications than those expect soon for Japan. The SUV has remained unchanged in terms of aesthetics and the changes are concentrated in the power train, which now promises more efficiency.

With the 41 HP rear electric, everything changes. The UX250h is replaced by the UX300h with an upgraded engine and two- and four-wheel drive variants. The E-Four all-wheel drive program has been significantly modified by replacing the rear 7 HP induction motor with a single. magnet permanent 41 HP: this not only adjusts the reactivity and behavior of the car, but gives better performance on the road. At the front we find the already known 2.0 cylinder with another electric motor: the total power, for the versions intended for Europe, has therefore increased from 184 to 199 HP. The battery has also been completely redesigned, changing from nickel metal-hydride technology to lithium ion. The new UX300h offers excellent overall performance: 100 km/h from standstill is reached in 8.1 seconds with 2WD (4 seconds less than the previous one) and 7.9 seconds with 4WD (8 seconds less), with fuel consumption of average of 4.7- 5.0 and 5.0-5.4 l/100 km respectively.

450 km of freedom by electricity. A separate chapter for electrical equipment UX300e, which was already presented in 2023: Lexus technicians in this case aimed to improve autonomy by replacing the original 54.3 kWh battery with a 72.8 kWh one that provides greater energy density. The new version promises 450 kilometers of freedom and charging times reduced by 20 minutes (total of 60) from 0 to 80% using fast charging stations.

Digital instruments, new fees and colors. In the passenger compartment the 12.3″ digital instrument is clearly visible, but new color combinations and new upholstery colors and new body colors are also available. The Drive Monitor safety system is also integrated into the steering column which can activate Driver Emergency.
