Updated Audi e-tron GT reveals itself: looking for a Taycan Turbo GT?

A few months ago, Porsche lifted the curtain on a major facelift: the Taycan. Since the introduction of the electric Macan, it is not the only Porsche EV, so the Taycan will have to try a little harder to justify its existence from now on. He does it not only with a gentle appearance and a large driving range, but also with more power for all his versions. A little later, the all-new Taycan Turbo GT made its debut, which can call itself the most powerful Porsche ever… And Audi can now go fishing in that pond again.

RS e-tron GT Performance?

Ingolstadt has shared the first few photos of the updated Audi e-tron GT, an EV that is similar to the Porsche Taycan, top and bottom. The leather upper is still covered in the usual camouflage for the occasion, although it leaves little to the imagination. So we are introduced to a subtly redesigned nose where the grille – still largely closed – sits in a more conventional frame. The air vents around the grille are also growing a bit, but overall the e-tron GT looks similar to, among others, the recently launched e-tron Q6. The updated e-tron GT will most likely receive additional power across the board after the Porsche Taycan, but it may not end there. If we can believe the rumours, Audi is planning an ‘RS e-tron GT Performance’ and luckily the drink will share its technology with the powerful Porsche Taycan Turbo GT … Or close, because the facelift was. Also e-trons GT always focused more on comfort than their Porsche brothers, and they also had a little more power. In any case, you can count on the ability to fast charge (270 to 320 kW) and large batteries (93 to 105 kWh) that accompanied the Porsche facelift, but we will have to wait for other technical details of the updated Audi. e-tron GT at launch later this year.
