Audi A3, Allstreet arrives. In the event of a model update, the original version of the crossover starts

The A3, a mid-size car from the house of the ring, is being updated for 2024 with minor updates to the interior and exterior design, as well as a new facelifted allstreet version. The latter was the protagonist of the “L’ovunque è qui” event organized by Audi at the Teatro Alcione in Milan during its Italian launch. Allstreet completes the already very rich range and inherits the same technical solutions as its “sisters” Sportback and Sedan, starting with the engine: diesel 150 HP 2.0 of 35 Tdi and small gasoline hybrid 1.5 with the same power of 35. Tfsi. All new versions of the A3 can already be ordered and will go on sale from May. Aesthetically, the new A3 does not differ significantly from the previous version: the front grille is now frameless and the bumper gets two large air intakes to emphasize the sporty look. The real news is the first version of the allstreet, raised from the ground by three centimeters and with a higher driving position that makes it a real urban crossover. The outer protection on the side skirts and bumpers brings it closer to the world of Q SUVs, while the wheels start from a minimum size of 17 “instead of 16” as in the Sportback and Sedan.

The new Audi A3 the updated gain of only 9 mm in length compared to the previous one, with 4,352 mm, remains unchanged in width and is 9 mm lower at 1,441. Finally, the 2,635 mm wheel is 5 mm higher. The sedan is also similar in terms of dimensions, while as mentioned the allstreet differs only in the height of 30 mm higher for the benefit of the driving position. The trunk of the Sportback and allstreet stands at 380 liters, which can be 1,200 by folding the rear seat.
Updates to the A3’s interior are also minimal, with the only new features being the shape of the central tunnel area where the gear selector is located, derived from the Q4 e-tron, and the new air intake. Care remains in the assembly and in the choice of equipment: a leather steering wheel is standard, as is the possibility to customize the car’s interior lighting with 30 different options. Most of the physical buttons remain on the piano-like dashboard on two levels to control the climate control, rear cameras and driving modes. The digital dashboard is 12.3″ in size and can be customized based on graphics, while the 10.1″ infotainment screen is integrated with Dab radio, navigation and wireless compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

After opening of orders there are two engines offered for all three versions of the A3: a strong hybrid petrol and diesel. The first engine is a 1.5-four-cylinder turbo with 150 HP and 250 Nm of torque, with a 48 V hybrid system, which allows consumption of 5.2-5.9 l/100 km on the Sportback and 5.4-5 .8 l/100 km on all roads. The 150 HP 2.0 turbodiesel of the 35 Tdi is known and tested, which gives 360 Nm of torque and allows a mileage of 4.8-5.4 l/100 km on the Sportback and 5.0-5.4 l/100 km on the allstreet. The gearbox for all versions is a seven-speed S Tronic. For the Italian presentation of the A3 allstreet, orders were also opened for all three versions of the car: prices start at 37,000 euros for the petrol Sportback and 38,300 euros for the diesel; Sedan starts from 38,300 euros for petrol and 39,600 euros for diesel; finally, the allstreet starts from 39,500 euros for the hybrid and 40,800 euros for the 35 Tdi.

During the presentation evening
, the marketing director of Audi Italia Massimo Faraò organized the event, anticipating the future plans of the Four Ring brand. “We will invest 41 billion euros by 2028, where two-thirds will be for electrification and autonomous driving and one-third for hybrid and combustion engines,” he said. The presentation event was also an opportunity to celebrate the joint dialogue between A3 allstreet and the city of Milan, with the limitless possibilities it offers. The evening was attended by the actor Francesco Mandelli, who shared his personal story of success achieved thanks to the opportunities of the capital of Lombardy and accompanied by the stories of other guests: the chef Matteo Pancetti, the founder of the Yapa restaurant who entered his project. skills acquired in his travels around the world, and the singer Clara, winner of the Sanremo Giovani and protagonist of the Sanremo festival, who closed the evening singing some songs from his album “Primo”.
