Team 511 in the Women’s World Championship: Couldn’t be more consistent / Women’s Motorcycle World Championship

In the Women’s World Touring Championship, new players are entering the field of the World Superbike Championship. An interesting team comes from Castello Castello d’Argile near Bologna, which is entirely female.

Classic bikes for the Women’s World Touring Championship are maintained by Gianluca Montiron’s company and then used by newly established teams or converted from other series to the new world championship.

The second group consists of Terra & Vita 511 and the U racing team. This team has been consistently implementing the idea of promoting women in motorsport for years. Every position in the team is held by women.

Terra & Vita 511 kick off the first season of the new Women’s World Cup with Spain’s Sara Sanchez and Israel’s Ran Yochay. The former is likely to be one of the top pilots in the line-up, the latter having been competing in the European Women’s Championship for years (sixth overall in 2023). But be careful: the 21-year-old is the youngest participant in the Red Bull Romaniacs, one of the toughest enduro races ever.

The team is a diverse group and includes, among others, a civil engineer and a doctor.
