Antonio Felix da Costa (TAG Heuer Porsche) has been eliminated from Round 6 of the Misano E-Prix

TAG Heuer Porsche’s Antonio Felix da Costa has been eliminated from round 6 of the Misano E-Prix since accelerator damper spring on car no. 13 was not found to comply with any of the three optional features announced.

As a result, the cars below da Costa in the original race classification move up one place, meaning that Nissan’s Oliver Rowland takes the race win.

Da Costa was eliminated in the sixth round, while Nissan's Rowland took the win against MisanoThe full FIA decision is as follows:

The Team Manager and the manufacturer’s representative explained that since the beginning of season 9 they have not changed the throttle damper spring.

The Team Manager agreed that the closed part, as shown in the attachment of Technical Report 13, was installed on Car 13 and was closed in the presence of the Chief Engineer of the team. The Team Manager also said that in the list of Spark (pedals), the closed part is not listed.

He explained that changes to the Spark catalog are usually highlighted for everyone to see, but removals are not.

The FIA technical representative confirmed this procedure. Spark representatives confirmed that this part was listed in the parts catalog for the Gen2 vehicles, but not on the current Gen3 vehicle. They also confirmed that removing parts from the catalog was not highlighted or deleted.

The competitor is responsible for the car’s compliance and even if there is no performance advantage, the car must comply with the Rules (Article 1.3.3 of the International Sporting Code).

Due to this result the car will have to be removed from the race and the following cars will move up in the standings.

Porsche has said it intends to appeal and has 96 hours to prove it.
