The Dacia Jogger is an affordable, wide, station wagon with slightly higher suspension. In each version of the device, it is available as an option as a family car with 7 seats and increased performance. The concept combines the length of a station wagon, the width of a station wagon and the characteristics of an SUV. The modified car, marked by the manufacturer as Jogger MY24, is now for sale. The cars will be physically parked in the showrooms in the second half of May. We present a new price list and information about the changes introduced.

More security systems equipped

Following the changes related to the EU GSR2 regulation, the entire Dacia range now complies with the new regulations. The base of the Jogger Essential has been improved with, among others: with manual air conditioning. In addition, Jogger has been equipped with new systems that improve the safety of all road users, including pedestrians and cyclists. A new dedicated “My Safety” button has been introduced on the dashboard, which allows you to disable some driver assistance systems while driving.

One of the new features is the Rescue Code, that is, a QR code placed as a sticker on the front and rear windshield. Appearance improvements included new body colors and new 16-inch alloy rim designs. The cabin has a USB-C port on the front (instead of the previous USB-A), and an optional USB-C port is also available on the back.

The Dacia Jogger Hybrid gets an all-new 7-inch clock display, which debuted on the all-new Duster. Digital gauges will provide the driver with more information compared to conventional clocks.

Dacia Jogger and hybrid car

The base engine is a 3-cylinder 1.0 TCe ECO-G petrol engine developing 100 HP and 170 Nm, which works with a factory-installed LPG gas installation. The TCe 110 is also based on a 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, producing 110 HP and 200 Nm.

The top variant of the 140 Hybrid includes a lithium-ion battery (1.2 kWh) placed under the floor in place of the spare wheel – where the LPG tank is in the models with the ECO-G 100 engine then it will be the original 4 engine – a 1.6-liter cylinder connected to an electric motor. Another electric motor is used as a generator and starter. This design provides a total power of 140 horsepower and 205 Nm of maximum torque and is combined with a unique gearbox without a conventional clutch.

The recovered kinetic energy charges the battery and allows driving the city mainly in electric mode. Starting is always done using an electric motor. The extra energy is used to decelerate the combustion engine during hard acceleration or switching to electric driving mode on the city route. According to the manufacturer, the Jogger Hybrid can go around the city in fully electric mode for 80 percent of the time. while driving, and fuel consumption in the urban cycle can be up to 40 percent. lower than in a version with a combustion engine of comparable power.
