RIMAC and IONITY Join Forces to Deliver the Ultimate Electric Mobility Experience – Rimac Newsroom

This partnership brings together the record-breaking supercar, the Rimac Nevera, with the fastest, most reliable and greenest IONITY charging network. Owners of the Nevera – the world’s fastest-accelerating production car, which has the highest charging power available in a passenger car, limited to 150 vehicles – will benefit from eight years of unlimited charging at all IONITY stations in 24 countries of Europe.

“When people think of Rimac, they think of the record-breaking performance that the Nevera delivers, as well as the core technologies at the heart of the company. However, the Nevera was primarily developed as a high-end GT, rather than a track-oriented car – it’s a consumer-friendly hypercar .Partnering with IONITY allows us to take this experience to the next level.

Mate Rimac

Founder and CEO of Rimac Group

Powered by a Rimac internal drivetrain and a 120kWh nickel-manganese lithium battery pack, the Nevera offers a WLTP* charging range of 490km and 500kW. This remarkable engineering feature, together with IONITY’s award-winning Halo charger with a charging capacity of 350kW, allows the battery to be charged from 0% to 80% within 25 minutes.

“Therefore, IONITY’s extensive charging network is compatible with Rimac. IONITY’s HPC technology ensures a fast and reliable payment experience across Europe, ensuring that stops are as short and convenient as possible,” added Mate Rimac.

“IONITY has set the standards for the fastest charging and seamless consumer experience across Europe. The partnership with Rimac perfectly reflects our commitment to performance, reliability and sustainability. It is based on the common values and pioneering work we are doing in our respective fields to enable and advance electric mobility. IONITY’s pan-European superfast charging network includes more than 500 stations strategically placed along European highways to facilitate long-distance travel across the continent. The network is open to all brands of vehicles and is constantly being expanded with new locations, additional charging points, solar roofs and nearby services to improve the on-site charging experience.”

In addition to providing the best charging experience for Nevera owners, IONITY will also install an HPC charging station at the state-of-the-art Rimac Campus near Zagreb, Croatia, which is currently under construction. Six IONITY charging stations will be accessible 24/7 to the public as well as university guests. In addition, to further improve the high power charging infrastructure on campus, additional chargers will be built in the remaining areas of the campus. Some of these chargers are scheduled to be installed later this year, to ensure they are available for the launch of the first phase of the Rimac Campus in 2024.

After the completion of the first phase in 2024, the Rimac Campus production site, which has an impressive area of 70,000 m2, will serve as a global hub for Rimac components and vehicles. In the following years, the campus will be expanded, covering a large area of 100,000 m2, to include the company’s HQ and Research and Development (R&D) facility, as well as many services. Built to be sustainable, carbon neutral and aimed at its 2,500 employees, the campus will offer the public the opportunity to enjoy the Rimac brand experience center and on-site retail, dining and event space while topping up their car batteries on IONITY’s chargers faster.

To celebrate the partnership, Rimac and IONITY will come together this week for the Rimac Nevera x IONITY Tour across Europe. Starting from the Rimac Factory in Zagreb, Croatia, and taking some of the best routes in Europe to the end in Saint-Tropez.
