Rolls-Royce invests in Dahlewitz and Derby

Rolls-Royce says it will invest in its assembly, testing and workshop capabilities in the UK and Germany to meet long-term demand for new large commercial engines and improve customer support services for its global Trent fleet.

To prepare for this growth, Rolls-Royce is investing £55 million and hiring more than 300 people across its offices in Derby, England, and Dahlewitz, Germany. About half of the investment and about two-thirds of the jobs will be in Derby.

Investments include:

Expand engine manufacturing capacity in Derby to deliver more than 40 per cent more new engines per year from 2025 – compared to average deliveries over the past ten years – and increase service capacity.
