‘Samsung brings Galaxy S24 with more RAM and brand new screen’

The Galaxy S24 series is expected to see the light of day in six months, but there are already a lot of rumors going around. Now sources say that Samsung also wants to make improvements in the field of RAM and screen.

More working memory for the base model

After rumors about faster charging, more powerful housings and the question of whether the Plus model will appear or not, Samsung will also make adjustments to the internal components of the S24 series. South Korean sources say that the S24, S24 Plus and S24 Ultra are equipped with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space as standard.

In any case, this is an update to the regular S24 and S24 Plus. After all, none of the versions of the predecessors – S23 and S23 Plus – were released with 12GB of RAM. This option was available for the S23 Ultra, but you had to buy the more expensive version. This is now included in every basic model of S24 models.

In addition, the source expects that Samsung will introduce a new generation of its AMOLED screen: ‘M13’. This thirteenth generation screen is thinner and more energy efficient and we will see it on the S24 models. The recent Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Fold 5 still have a twelfth generation screen.

Samsung cuts costs with various chips

Adding upgrades to the screen, housing, battery, and RAM, among other things, entails significant costs. So sources say that Samsung wants to reduce these costs by using different chips. Samsung previously said goodbye to its Exynos chips in its high-end devices. Instead, they switched to using chips from Snapdragon which both work better and use more power.

It is possible that the base model of the S24 will have a cheaper (and possibly slower) Exynos processor. More expensive variants will appear with a faster Snapdragon chip. The choice of chip may also depend on the region. Other sources indicate that Europe and Asia will receive a Samsung chip and North America will receive a Snapdragon variant.

So we still have to wait and see until we know which model will come to Holland. Bee Android Planet In any case, we’ll keep an eye out for you. Want to stay updated on the latest Android news? Then add Android Planet to your Google News feed.
