Aston Martin has updated its DBX SUV, which is now only offered in its sportier version, the DBX707. In addition to the modern interior, it benefits from a better chassis…
The Aston Martin DBX 707 introduced in 2022 is still the latest model in the range and therefore exterior modifications were not necessary at this stage. Therefore, the modifications for the 2025 model year are limited to new exterior colors (Epsilon Black, Helios Yellow, Sprint Green, Malachite Green, Aura Green and Podium Green), door handles that light up externally when the car is opened, new mirrors and integrated cameras. and optional new 23-inch forged alloy wheels (22-inch wheels remain standard).
As a result, Aston Martin focused on updating the DBX707 on the interior, starting with the new infotainment inherited from the DB12 and the new Vantage. The old stock Mercedes system gives way to a more modern 10.25-inch “Pure Black” touchscreen, as well as a large 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. In addition to its new screens, the DBX’s dashboard and center console have been redesigned, bringing the DBX707 more in line with the rest of Aston Martin’s range by offering dedicated controls for gear selection, driving modes, performance climate, suspension, ESP, exhaust out with ADAS. Driving is even made easier with a new toggle switch for drive mode instead of multiple buttons. Finally, the finish goes further with new materials such as smoky oak, polished titanium mesh, updated ziricote wood, piano black and carbon fiber veneers. A 14-speaker 800-watt Aston Martin sound system is now included as standard equipment, but can be optionally upgraded to a Bowers and Wilkins sound system with a further 23 speakers.
Aston Martin’s decision to no longer offer just one engine in the DBX is linked to sales figures. Therefore, the DBX707 represented two thirds of DBX sales in 2023 and this figure even increased to 90% in 2024. Under the hood we therefore find AMG’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, here producing 707 hp (as the name suggests recommended!) and 900 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the wheels through a nine-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive system. With a top speed of 310 km/h, the DBX707 remains one of the fastest production SUVs in the world alongside the Lamborghini Urus, Maserati Levante Trofeo and Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT.
The chassis components are unchanged but Aston Martin engineers modified the electronic fluids and air springs, allowing more precise control of the dynamics in different driving modes.
Production and delivery of the new updated Aston Martin DBX707 SUV will begin in the second quarter of 2024.
