SBK World Championship live coverage: Who will show the race in the ’25 World Championship / Superbike

There are various options for watching the World Superbike Championship and its supporting categories in German-speaking countries. You have to pay for the more advanced version.

Promoter Dorna has sold the rights to broadcast the World Superbike Championship and its categories several times, which opens up a wide range of options for fans in front of the television.

Appearing everywhere in Germany, Austria, Switzerland – DACH for short – is the Eurosport sports channel, which is part of Discovery and has acquired the rights for the whole of Europe. However, Eurosport is not reliable in the sense that individual events are considered in live broadcasts and broadcasts are often broadcast on the Eurosport channel 2, which is sometimes charged a fee – if charged at all.

The race, however, can always be seen on the Internet streaming service from Discovery+, which is also available for a fee. These ads can also be shown on most modern televisions (Smart TVs). The advantage of this edition is that not only the Superbike World Championship is broadcast there, but all the classes.

The race will also be managed in 2025 by Lenz Leberkern, who has specialist Dirk Raudies, the 1993 125cc world champion, at his side. The contract with Dorna runs until the end of 2025.

At the end of 2023, the broadcasting activities of the ServusTV line in Germany and Switzerland were terminated. The remaining signal for the domestic market in Austria can theoretically be obtained by German and Swiss service providers. Officially, Germany and Switzerland have the digital platform ServusTV On, which will continue to broadcast the Superbike World Championship in depth, free of charge and in HD as a live stream in 2025.

Moderator Philipp Krummholz has Stefan Nebel as an expert on his side; ServusTV plans to have its camera crew on site for up to three events.

By providing secondary rights, transfers can sometimes also be carried out by unnamed service providers. For example, the special interest channel ServusTV Motorsport has been available since June 2021, which is shown only in Germany via Telekom Magenta TV, but is not included in the basic tariff.

Dorna itself will continue to offer a more detailed version in 2025 with its live stream on its website worldsbk.com. The passing season is can be purchased for 69.90 Euro and, with all shipping including all training courses, it also includes access to the full video archive.
