Volkswagen Group Singapore is launching and exclusively previewing its range of electric vehicles from Volkswagen, Škoda and CUPRA to the little red dot.

Named “Volkswagen Electric City”, the landmark event is in line with the brand’s global commitment to sustainability through electrification technology.

The pledge also includes education about green technology in cars to empower consumers to make informed decisions.

The multi-brand event will feature the latest electric car launches and highlights from Volkswagen, Škoda and CUPRA.

It will open to the public on May 11 and will feature activities such as postcard making, beach workshops, photo booths, food trucks and vendor booths selling plants, pet treats and accessories.

For the event, the car brand has partnered with communications consultant TriOn & Co. TriOn & Co will be supporting Volkswaen Group Singapore with strategic information and positioning as well as stakeholder, media and KOL engagement.

The contract will be for three to four months and will be based in Singapore. Work began in April, with the event and activities expected in May this year.

“I am delighted to be working with TriOn & Co on this exciting move for Volkswagen Group Singapore. The TriOn team is highly experienced and reliable, and the agency has an excellent track record,” said Nigel Yong, Volkswagen Group communications manager of Singapore.

“We have a great working relationship and, I look forward to the work they do for our event,” he added.

“We are excited to work with Volkswagen Group Singapore to promote greater awareness of its electric range,” said Joel Lah, co-founder of TriOn & Co.

“This project highlights our expertise in strategic positions, as well as knowledge of the automotive industry and sustainability,” added Lah. “This partnership aligns with our commitment to doing meaningful and impactful work for clients regardless of industry.”

In parallel, TriOn & Co has appointed Hannah Nwaozuzu as its content manager to expand and strengthen its content and research development offerings.

Nwaozuzu will lead content ideas and development, as well as research for clients and consultants.

His appointment, according to TriOn & Co’s statement, is in line with the direction of the consultants in strategic communication, including content strategies, based on knowledge and research for its clients.
