Porsche reveals a new high-performance full-suspension bike with a carbon frame


Porsche was launched Cross Performance EXC 2ND GEN for some markets. The first 12-speed model has a carbon frame and is priced high mainly due to the brand name. The Cross Performance EXC 2ND GEN has a Shimano EP801 motor mounted in the middle, with a maximum torque of 85 Nm. The small e-bike frame has a 504Wh battery, while the medium and large versions have a 603Wh battery. According to Porsche, this should provide a range support of up to 100 km (~60 miles) in ECO mode, and the genset charges up to 80% in 2.5 hours. A Fox 34 Performance fork with 120 mm of travel and a Fox Float DPS rear shock make riding on rough terrain more comfortable. Other features include a Shimano XT rear derailleur, Magura MT Trail disc brakes, Continental Cross King tires, and a Shimano SC-EM800 display to see your speed and remaining battery. As with the previous bike, you will need to pre-order the Porsche eBike Cross Performance EXC 2ND GEN via the Porsche Design website, as it is done to order. A new model is expensive $15,665/14.200 euros/13,145 pounds/14,200 Swiss francs; for context, the 2023 e-bike was sold for $15,350/13,900 euros. Shipping will begin in the US around June 30, while customers in the European Union, UK and Switzerland will have to wait until July 31.
