Why Rolls-Royce and Bentley broke up

Since the inception of Rolls-Royce and the start of Bentley a few years later, the two English brands have been rivals. They all focus on the top class of the automotive industry and manufacturers do it with their own models.

How different it was until twenty years ago. Although different chassis layout and character, the products were twins. They actually eliminated the same production method. Why did two luxury brands split?
