Sixt is adding thousands of BYD EVs to its European fleet

BYD has signed an agreement with Sixt car rental company for the European market. Both companies report this in press releases. It is the start of a long-term partnership to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility within Sixt. The first BYD electric cars will be available to Sixt customers in Q4 2022.

The partnership includes Sixt’s initial order of several thousand BYD electric vehicles, with first delivery in the fourth quarter of 2022. Sixt is expected to complete this initial order by adding 100,000 BYD EVs over the next six years.

BYD Atto 3

Sixt’s first customers to be introduced to BYD’s all-electric models this year include customers in Germany, France, the Netherlands and the UK. Starting with BYD Atto 3. Michael Shu, general manager and managing director, BYD Europe and International Cooperation Department, said: “Partnership is a fundamental part of BYD’s business strategy. We are pleased to cooperate with Sixt.”

BYD recently announced its sales price for the European market.

Hertz is also electrifying its fleet and expanded its EV fleet with Polestars earlier this year.
