Skoda Octavia 2024, pre-sales have started: price, engine, trim levels

Five years after the launch of the fourth generation, a major overhaul is ready to make its debut in Italy. Turbo petrol engines, hybrids and the inevitable 2.0 Tdi Evo

The best-selling station wagon in Italy in 2023 is updated and now there is a green light for pre-sale: Skoda Octavia, a sedan but also and more than a station wagon, is updated in 2024 with a detailed design. Aesthetic, technological and functional revisions that arrive five years after the launch of the fourth generation. Before seeing how it has changed and in what way, it is fair to go straight to the point and say that the starting price has been set. 28.450 euros for a sedan and 29,500 euros for a car, leaving the task of going into detail in listing all the various prices of the new Skoda Octavia to the next paragraph. The first delivery is scheduled for the month of June 2024.

Skoda Octavia 2024: what’s new

Skoda Octavia is a car that, over the course of its history, has managed to win over 7 million drivers. So much so that it has become the backbone of the Skoda range worldwide, thanks to its well-known features of spaciousness, practicality and carrying capacity. The standard tools for the new Selection, Executive and Style have been expanded. The front end of the car has been revised, with new light clusters that extend to the new bumper and a more attractive grille shape, while inside the new infotainment screen is clearly visible.

The design intervention is accompanied by a technical update to the engine, aimed at increasing efficiency and thus reducing consumption and emissions. At launch, the Octavia range is available with a new 1.5 Tsi with optional Act+ cylinder deactivation, offered in power steps of 115 and 150 HP, also with mild hybrid technology and a 7-speed automatic gearbox DSG. The engine offering, in this first phase, is completed by the 2.0 Tdi Evo in power levels of 115 HP (with manual gearbox) and 150 HP (with 7-speed DSG). The range will be expanded in the coming months with the inclusion of new Sportline versions and the high-performance RS variant in the price list.

As expected, three trim levels will be available for the Skoda Octavia 2024 and the Skoda Octavia Wagon at launch. The Option access version is fitted as standard with, among others, 10-inch digital instruments, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless start, Full LED Headlights, 10-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay wireless and Android Auto. In terms of safety, the Octavia now has 8 airbags as standard, including the central one between the front seats and the driver’s knee airbag, while standard driver assistance technologies include Front Assist and pedestrian detection for foot and bicycle, Lane Assist. for lane keeping, road sign recognition and the Turn Assist system.

The Executive Edition, as always, is designed for the very important role that Octavia plays in the world of company fleets and among professionals, where standard equipment has a positive impact on residual value. The standard equipment adds, among others, a 13″ infotainment screen with satellite navigation, online infotainment, remote access to the vehicle and voice control through the digital assistant “Laura”. The standard connectivity equipment is completed by a telephone box wireless smartphone charging and 4 45W USB-C sockets and configurable Active Safety goes a step further thanks to the standard presence of Cruise Control Systems with Emergency Assist for DSG gearboxes, capable to stop the car completely, and put it in. the lane and activate the emergency call in the event of the driver feeling sick. Also standard is the Lane Assist 2.0 system that keeps the car in the middle of its lane.

The Style Edition is at the top of the offer and completes the endowment of comfort and style by adding the Kessy Complete system of keyless entry and start, rear view camera, electric gate with Virtual Pedal system, alarm with internal monitoring, tilt. sensor and Safe system with electric safety lock for rear doors. The Style Editions also add exterior chrome to the window frames and roof rails, 18″ wheels and red-tinted rear glass starting at the B-pillar.
