Skoda Octavia receives five EuroNCAP stars

The fourth generation of Skoda Octavia received a high score of 5 stars in the last round of EuroNCAP safety tests conducted in 2022.

The Czech brand’s model scored 86% for adult passenger safety and 84% for youth occupant protection. In terms of standard safety assistance systems, Octavia surpassed the results obtained in the 2019 tests, increasing from 79 to 81%.

Already rating protection for the most vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians and cyclists, the Skoda Octavia scored 68%, which was its lowest rating.

It is recalled that in June 2022, Skoda made a new update of Octavia’s safety equipment. Since then hatchbacks and Combi have had a central airbag between the driver and front passenger and a driver’s airbag in standard models.

In addition, the latest generation of driver assistance systems automatically initiates braking when there is a risk of a collision at an intersection or a cyclist crossing the carriageway. The Driver Alert fatigue detection system also started providing an audio and visual warning.
