Motto: “175. Armand Peugeot’s birthday

The founding father of the lion brand, Armand Peugeot, was born in Valentigny in 1849 and comes from a true entrepreneurial lineage. He initially promoted bicycle manufacturing with the “PEUGEOT FRÈRES” company after witnessing bicycle manufacturing in England as a young engineer. The success of the two-wheeler inspired him to further push the boundaries of mobility. A visionary, he built his first cars in Valentigney in 1890 and soon after founded the “Société Anonyme des Automobiles PEUGEOT”.
