Here’s what the press release says: ” Many of Rolls-Royce’s customers are celebrities and celebrities in the international fashion, design and luxury community. These people apply their professional instincts, as well as their personal feelings, to their Rolls-Royce orders. Through the close relationship of the brand’s designers with these customers, they anticipated the need for an aesthetic movement and created the Rolls-Royce Ghost Prism. »

So it’s Rolls Royce that promises to herald the emergence of a new style of beauty…

Chassis and dimensions

There is nothing new at this point that has not even been addressed in the press release. So it is still powered by a 6.75 liter V12 of 571 hp and 850 Nm that can take up to 250 km / h at the top and which takes from 0 to 100 km / h in 4″8.

For the record, the animal, more than 5.54m long, still weighs 2565kg.

The Rolls-Royce Ghost Prism is finished in dark, neutral tones, enhanced with pops of contrasting colours, it is this contrast that inspired the Ghost Prism name.

The example shown is Gunmetal Gray achieved through a rigorous 10-step process where four coats of paint are expertly applied, then hand-polished for 16 hours.

Instead of the usual polished stainless steel design, the grille and rear window change the Burnt gray color to black and smoke. To achieve this effect, each piece of metal is prepared by hand by the brand’s artisans: first, a light abrasive is applied to each piece to hold a resistant primer, to which four coats of Burnt paint are then applied. After curing, these parts are individually polished to ensure that they match the luster of the car body. The front fascia and side elements also feature a deep gloss black finish.

Customers can choose from four colors, Phoenix Red, Turquoise, Mandarin and Forge Yellow (our photos) to create the diversity at the heart of this modern design movement. The selected color is used for the lower shield insert, brake calipers and bodywork (striping). It can be found inside the car, specifically on the 1,040 colorful “stars” of the Starlight headliner, each one mounted on a leather canvas with holes punched, traced and precisely hand-punched.

Of course, if this doesn’t satisfy interested customers, they can also choose an unlimited number of Bespoke colors for their interiors.

price

I don’t know, but 120 examples of the Ghost Prism will be produced worldwide to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in 2024. The standard Ghost starts at more than 300,000 euros, without options.

I don’t understand everything about the Prism movement. Or maybe it’s too easy for me to think it’s a ‘new movement’. But hey, running Ghost isn’t bad. Not as good as the Phantom though…
