After leaping into the past with the Abarth 2000 Scorpio, today the brand wants to pay homage to its 75 years of history with a new model called. Abarth Classiche 1300 OT. The car is based on the Alfa Romeo 4C and is presented as a “modern reinterpretation” of the famous Fiat-Abarth OT 1300 racing car from 1965.

The 1300 OT follows the previous 2021 special edition 1000 SP, which was also derived from the 4C. Compared to the end, they will be produced just five examples of 1300 OT, with production starting soon following a prototype presentation at parent company Stellantis’ Heritage Hub in Turin this weekend.

Abartj says that this new special edition “retains the spirit of an authentic Abarth“, with a Special function of carbon fiber playing a retro racing game, enhanced by various 1960s-inspired details, including a “periscope” roof section and a decorated rear window.

One of the most distinctive features is the air intake for cooling the engine, as wide as the entire rear section, decorated with a large Abarth logo. The engine used is 1.7-liter turbo-four with 240 horsepoweralready locked in 4C, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds and reaching a speed of 250 km / h.

Recently, Abarth also announced a facelifted version of its 600e, with official photos of the interior including different details and racing features.
